Animals

The Dental Leaders team has been chosen to provide high level dental services to the animals of Miami's Metrozoo and also for the great apes at the Monkey Jungle attraction and research facility.  Special credit and thanks are well deserved by
Dr. Chris Miller, Head Veterinarian at Metrozoo, and
Sharon Du Mond, owner of Monkey Jungle.  These services are provided as a service to the citizens of Miami Dade County, and are absolutely free of charge.

 

Animals treated by Groh and Souviron in the past include:

Indian Bull Elephant:   Partial root canal and filling on a              fractured tusk.

White Bengal Tiger:  Root canal and filling on a fractured tooth.

African Wild Hunting Dog:  Several root canals, extractions, and fillings.   Also a difficult surgical root canal treatment.

Highlands Gorilla:  Fillings, several extractions, and cleaning.

Several other tigers, a lion, and a bear were also treated by the              team in recent years.
