An unfortunate number of children are born into this world each year with physical, medical, and emotional challenges. Dr. Groh takes special pride in having dedicated about ten percent of his professional time to helping people with special needs.
Often, a kind touch and subtle approach are sufficient to calm a fearful patient; however, often patients with special needs do not have the innate ability to cooperate. Our anesthesia background and hospital affiliations serve us well in assisting these worthwhile people.
We treat patients with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Craniofacial Syndromes, Mental Retardation, Alzheimer's Disease, Epilepsy, Cardiac Problems, and a variety of other needs.
